Chonky is a comic reader for iPad. You can import your own comics in the formats CBZ, CBR, CBT, and PDF from Files, iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive and start reading right away.

Quick start

• In the library, tap "+" in the top right and choose files or a whole folder.
• If the files are in the cloud, the system downloads them first – this can take a moment. Please keep the app open.
• Tap a cover to read. In the top bar you'll find the loupe, bookmarks, reading direction, and more.

Reading modes

Single page, two-page spreads (landscape), manga (right → left), and continuous vertical scrolling.

FAQ

Are my comics uploaded to the cloud?
No. Everything stays locally on your device. On import, only a copy of the file you selected is created.

Does the app cost anything?
No, Chonky is free with no ads. A voluntary tip in the settings is optional.
